Well, I do not want to be completely anonymous to those who use my software. This is why I have decided to write some words that follow...
My name is Piotr Jadwiszczak - these two words are quite difficult to pronounce correctly if you are not Polish (hint: try to say "Pyotr Yad-veesh-chuck"). I am 36 years old, married, one child (a wonderful daughter). I like good books and beer as well as the polar themes - I have spent a year in Antarctica, you know.
But I am also a biologist with some education in computer science. I teach students biostatistics and paleozoology;
my scientific work concentrates on fossil penguins (Ph.D. in 2005).
My real hobby is programming, especially in C++, targeted on statistical methods.
In my humble opinion, Monte Carlo and related techniques constitute promising area for such activity.
